If you have kids, go to the library and get Please Baby Please by Spike Lee (of Do the Right Thing and Malcolm X fame) and his wife Tonya Lewis Lee. It is an awesome book! My kids who are 7 and almost 2 loves it. It is so hard to find a book that they both can enjoy, but this one is perfect. Added bonus is that it's simple enough that my daughter can read it to my son. They love it, I love it, you will too, I promise.

Finished Goddess in the Kitchen by Margie Lapanja (good recipes and great tidbits about goddesses for myth buffs like me), and Home Comforts by Cheryl Mendelson (good, but way too scientic for me--my first clue of this possiblity should have been the sub-title of "The Art and Science of Keeping House").
