Booking Through Thursday

Reach out a hand, and grab the book that is closest to you. Turn to page 231, or pick a page at random if the book isn't that long. Locate the first sentence of the last paragraph on that page.

  1. Type the sentence here: For if you bake bread with indifference, you bake a bitter bread that feeds but half man's hunger.

  2. Does the sentence make sense out of context? I think so, but it's hard for me to think of it outside of the context of the book.

  3. Does reading the sentence make you want to read the rest of the book? Why or why not? Of course, it's from The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran. I think this is one that should be required reading for everyone.

I love that little book. We had the Marriage section read during our wedding a couple years ago. :-)
