I've never seen this show, but apparently this guy did 30 days not far from me. My church volunteers at the Free Store once a month and it's where I get alot of my books and where I do alot of my unbooking. I read faster than I can buy, so I frequent the library and the FreeStore. And it's nice to know the books I no longer need will go to a good cause.

A long time ago I had an idea to write a book totally by hand and cover it with cute little pictures that I drew and witty quotes, etc, then I went to the library and stumbled across a book by SARK and fell in love. If you have kids, go to the library and get Please Baby Please by Spike Lee (of Do the Right Thing and Malcolm X fame) and his wife Tonya Lewis Lee. It is an awesome book! Finished Goddess in the Kitchen by Margie Lapanja (good recipes and great tidbits about goddesses for myth buffs like me), and Home Comforts by Cheryl Mendelson (good, but way too scientic for me--my first clue of this possiblity should have been the sub-title of "The Art and Science of Keeping House").

I just finished reading The Broke Diaries By Angela Nissel and it was okay. Just okay. It's disappointing when something is so hyped up and you get all excited to experience it yourself only to be let down. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't heard so much hype beforehand, but then again when I was broke, I didn't find it nearly as amusing as she obviously did.
